At The Exchange we offer guests the opportunity for a secluded, peaceful and relaxing escape, for a short or long break any time of the year.  Combined with our personal attention and local knowledge, we hope to make your time here an enjoyable and memorable experience.

Our two cottages are set in 3 acres of subtropical gardens, surrounded by 24 acres of mature native forest. Our newly renovated and refurbished Eco Friendly Accommodation offers you the choice of self contained or a catered Bed and Breakfast Option.  Both Cottages have stunning decks front and rear to allow you to dine outside, listen to the Tui’s and enjoy the peace and quiet of our beautiful hideaway valley.

A delightful escape for those who want peace and quiet, and a great starting point for exploring the Northlands of New Zealand, including the Bay of Islands, 90 mile Beach and the magnificent sand dune entrance to the Hokianga Harbour at Omapere. 

We are situated 6kms outside the historic harbour side village of Kohukohu. 

We can arrange to escort you up to The Exchange from Kohukohu Village or the Narrows Ferry Terminal on your arrival.

As you drive along Rakautapu Road out of the village towards The Exchange, you will see the most stunning views out across the Harbour and beyond.
