The Cottages
Bush Cottage
– Sleeps
two in a double bed.
Tucked away at the
bottom of the subtropical gardens, close to the mature Forest our Eco
friendly studio style cottage has been newly refurbished to our highest
standard to provide the ultimate in cosy and comfortable accommodation.
Inside the cottage,
you will find a smart, wet room bathroom, with shower, wash basin and an eco
friendly composting toilet, ensuite to the main room which includes a double
bed, small kitchenette, and everything you need to be fully self contained.
This includes a four burner gas hob, microwave, toaster, sandwich maker and
all crockery and cutlery. There is also a small
flat screen TV with a DVD player and CD stereo for your enjoyment.
A cosy wood burning stove provides the ultimate
in warmth and comfort for the colder evenings. Double doors from the main
room lead you out onto the rear deck, with views to the forest.

Tucked away in the
cupboards you will find all sorts of things to enhance your stay, including
a hairdryer, candles, games and books.

Outside, the front deck, facing east
allows you to sit and enjoy your breakfast in the early morning sun shine
while listening to the Tui’s morning song. The rear deck, facing west
allows you to enjoy your end of day meal or BBQ as the setting sun falls
behind the forest.

The Lodge
– Sleeps up to six in a queen size bed, double bed/bunk combo and two single
beds.

The first cottage you see as you enter The Exchange,
this unusual cottage has been upgraded and newly refurbished to our highest
standard to provide everything you need to enjoy your holiday with family or
friends.
Inside the cottage you will find a large light and
spacious living room with a new kitchen and dining area.
There is a TV with a DVD player and a CD
stereo for your enjoyment.
Upstairs is an
unusual mezzanine floor which comprises two of the three single sleeping
areas, made cosy by the low ceilings and large Kauri beams.

Leading off the main room into the hall way, you will
find a large bedroom with a stained glass door, beautifully presented with a
French style queen size bed with large double doors leading out onto the
rear deck overlooking the garden with stunning views down the valley and
across to the Wiama Ranges.
Leading off the hall way is the bathroom and a
separate bedroom with the double bed bunk combo and double doors leading out
onto the front deck. The bathroom is beautifully fitted with a shower and
eco friendly composting toilet, and wash basin.
Outside the cottage is surrounded by beautiful lawns
and trees, including a large mature Tulip tree, Australian Gum nut tree,
Gingko tree, Tea trees, Apple trees and Tree ferns. All of which can be
viewed from the large back deck which leads off the main room. This deck
faces south east which allows the morning sun to provide the perfect back
drop to your alfresco breakfast. There are also stunning views down across
the valley and across to the Waima Ranges. The front deck faces north west
to give maximum sun shine, with some shelter provided by the large pergola
with a newly planted grape vine.
